Common Questions

Does the customer need to be logged in?
No. OrydoPayment captures the email address entered during checkout, even if the customer never created an account. As long as they entered their email, recovery emails will trigger.
Can I customise the email content?
Yes. From your merchant dashboard you can edit the subject lines, body copy, and timing for each email in the sequence. The discount in Email 3 is optional and configurable.
Does Stripe offer this?
No. Stripe's Checkout and Payment Intents expire silently. There is no native abandoned cart recovery — it requires third-party tools, custom development, or a Klaviyo integration. OrydoPayment includes it out of the box.
Is this GDPR compliant?
Yes. Recovery emails are sent on the basis of legitimate interest for an incomplete transaction — a recognised lawful basis under UK GDPR. Unsubscribe links are included in every email.
